Bioconstruction in the Ajna Space
Planned and built house based on permacultural principles
The Construction of the Ajna Space was planned with environmental awareness from its planning to its occupation. Built by our family and friends and planned to be self-sufficient, the house is part of the Ecoaldeia Aratikum in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, in Chapada dos Veadeiros.
we wanted to avoid materials that could harm the surroundings and for that we used land removed from the site, reused wood, reused tiles and stones, thus reducing the use of raw materials and consequently lowering the total cost of the house. Several Bioconstruction techniques will be found in the elaboration of Casa Terra. The walls are largely made of Superadobe, but adobe bricks and wattle and daub (taipa) were also used. The ceramic roof will capture rainwater to a Ferrocement Cistern outside the house. The bathroom is external with its adobe walls with the gray water being directed to a Circle of Banana Trees and the black water being directed to an Evapotranspiration Basin. Outside the House there is a beautiful garden with fruit trees, a Spiral of Herbs and an area for fire pits, where we can enjoy the most beautiful sunset in Chapada. The hedge that delimits the area of the house will be made with citronella, garlic, rosemary and other aromatic plants in order to keep the venomous animals away.

Thanks to friends!!
Throughout the construction of Espaço Ajna, the help of friends was of utmost importance. Beside it, we have photos of some friends who were present, unfortunately they are not all in the photos, but everyone has their space guaranteed in the House.
